How is my ChiBall™ made?
Your ChiBall™ is uniquely handcrafted and infused with a ChiAroma™, and may vary slightly in size, texture and colour. These variations are perfectly normal and add to the character of your ChiBall™.
How long will my ChiBall™ last?
We cannot say absolutely how long your ChiBall™ will last; however, we have sold over 200,000 over the past 15 years. We have had no reports of failing or perished ChiBalls™.
What is the best way to store my ChiBalls™?
ChiBalls™ are best stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, either inflated or deflated. Storing them in a sealed bag or container will help to maintain the longevity of their aromatherapy-infused fragrance.
ChiBalls™ of different colours/aromas can be carried and transported together in the same bag/container, however it is best to keep each colour/aroma separate if storing them for longer periods of time, in order to preserve each ChiBall’s distinct fragrance.
How should I care for my ChiBall™?
Your ChiBall™ will last with proper care.
- Use a soft cloth to hand wash the ChiBall™ in cool water with a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Do not put your ChiBall™ in hot water.
- For indoor use only. Check the floor prior to use for sharp objects.
- Keep out of direct sunlight, away from direct heat sources and heated swimming pools or spas.
- Store in a moderate temperature. Temperatures below 5ºC (38ºF) or above 40ºC (104ºF) may cause the ChiBall™ to perish.
- Do not use pure essential aromatherapy oil with your ChiBall™. The ChiAroma™ fragrances have been manufactured especially for rejuvenating the ChiBall™ with their individual scents.
- This product is not suitable as a toy or for use by young children as the plug can be ingested.
What is the best way to inflate the ChiBall™?
Inflating your ChiBall™ for the first time:
- Remove the large black plug from your ChiBall™.
- Hold your ChiBall™ against a hard surface and insert the inflator tube.
- Blow into the inflator tube until your ChiBall™ attains desired firmness. (If you don’t have an inflator tube, you can simply blow directly into your ChiBall™’s valve.)
- Quickly remove the inflator tube and pinch the plug hole with your fingers to prevent the air from escaping, and insert the plug into the hole.

Do not over inflate the ChiBall with a mechanical pump. The ball should be soft when correctly inflated and is not designed to be inflated under pressure.
After repeated use:
- Your ChiBall™ will no longer need the inflator tube.
- For some ChiBall™ exercises it may be necessary to reduce the size of your ChiBall™.
- To re-inflate, simply remove the plug, balance the ChiBall™ in the palm of your hand and allow the external air to draw back into the ChiBall™.
Why are the ChiBalls™ infused with aroma?
Each uniquely handcrafted ChiBall™ is impregnated with a complementary mood-enhancing fragrance or ChiAroma™ because, for centuries, fragrances and essential oils have been credited with the ability to heal physical ailments, and transform the mind and emotions. Fragrances or aromas penetrate our bodies through the skin, and our minds through the sense of smell. This synergy of aroma and colour is what makes your ChiBall™ so unique and special.
Can I recharge my ChiBall™ with aroma?
Your new ChiBall™ is infused with a mood-enhancing scent, specific to the colour of your ChiBall™. After extended use, your ChiBall™ may need to be re-scented to restore the original aroma. Re-scent your ChiBall™ using the appropriate ChiAroma™.
ChiAromas™
What is a ChiAroma™?
A ChiAroma™ is a mood-enhancing scent made from pure essential oils, specific to the colour of your ChiBall™. In today’s society, we tend to live stressful lifestyles with little time for ourselves. Stress can be a catalyst for many of the discomforts experienced by our physical being. Aromatherapy can help relieve many common physical ailments as well as help us maintain emotional stability. This is a unique feature of the ChiBall Method™ – the use of aromas and colour to aid in harmony, balance and wellbeing. We also use the ChiAroma™ spray to top-up the scent of the ChiBall™ after a period of time.
Where can I buy ChiAromas™?
Because of the level of perfume grade ethanol in the ChiAromas, they are treated by postal companies in the same manner as retail perfumes and as such are classified as dangerous goods. Which DVD is best for me?
We have created several DVDs for a variety of purposes and conditions, which are described in the product detail pages. Please read these and contact us if you have any further questions as to which product is best suited for you.
How many DVDs are there?
Current we offer 6 ChiBall Method™ DVDs in 3 categories, and will be continuing to expand our range of titles.
How often should I use a DVD?
Our DVD series and practices have been developed with the intention of using them for regular practice in mind. You may use them as often as you like.
Can I mix and match DVD programmes?
Yes. Each of our DVDs contributes to a range of health interests, and you will get the most complete benefits by practising multiple titles.
Will I get the same results from a DVD as from a class?
Yes. The ChiBall Method™ has been carefully designed to guide participants through movements that are ideal both in a class setting as well as in the privacy and comfort of your own home. However, many who practise at home also enjoy participating in a class environment.
Do you plan to make more DVDs?
Yes. We are currently developing an extensive range of additional DVDs and exercise programmes covering a variety of health and wellbeing areas. Will the ChiBall DVDs work with my DVD player?
All our DVDs are recorded in Region Free (zero) PAL, and so should play in DVD players around the world. In the US, you may experience difficulty if your DVD player is restricted to Region 1 NTSC, however, you will be able to play the DVD in a Windows-based computer. Most modern TVs will take a screen output from a computer, so you can overcome the NTSC issue by hooking your computer up to your TV. Alternatively, and, by the way, this is our favourite way of watching the ChiBall Method, hook up a projector to a laptop and project a life-sized picture onto a wall.
